These disclosures apply to the Gridmatic website and to our software (together, the “Services”). They work together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If anything here conflicts with the Terms, the Terms govern.
1. What Gridmatic is and is not
Gridmatic is software. We provide subscription-based automated grid-trading software that runs on your own exchange account, using settings you configure and approve.
We are not a bank, a broker-dealer, an exchange, a custodian, a money transmitter, an asset manager, or a registered investment adviser. We do not hold, pool, custody, or take possession of your funds. Your capital stays in your own Kraken account at all times, and you remain the sole owner and controller of that account. We connect through trade-only API access that you grant and can revoke at any time, which immediately ends our ability to place trades on your account. We never have the ability to withdraw your funds.
2. Not investment, financial, legal, or tax advice
The Services and any information on this site are for the operation of the software only. They do not constitute investment, financial, legal, accounting, or tax advice, or any recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any asset. We do not provide personalized investment advice and we do not act as your fiduciary. The bots run as automated execution of the software within parameters you set and accept, not discretionary management of your assets. You are responsible for your own decisions and for consulting your own qualified advisers about your circumstances.
3. No guarantee of performance
We do not promise, guarantee, or represent that using Gridmatic will generate income, produce a profit, or achieve any particular result. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Any client outcomes we reference may include some of our better-performing accounts and are not typical. Individual results vary with market conditions, timing, capital deployed, and the settings in use.
4. Risk of loss of capital
Trading cryptocurrency involves substantial risk, including the risk of losing some or all of your capital. You should only deploy capital you can afford to put at risk. No level of automation removes this risk.
5. Cryptocurrency risk
Cryptocurrency markets are highly volatile and can move sharply and without warning. Prices, liquidity, and the availability of specific assets can change rapidly. The regulatory treatment of cryptocurrency continues to evolve and may affect your ability to trade or the value of what you hold.
6. Market risk and drawdowns
Grid trading accumulates open buy positions when prices fall. During downtrends, the unrealized value of those positions (Position PnL) can go negative, and your combined Total PnL can show a loss even while the bot continues to generate realized Cash-Flow. This is expected behavior of grid trading, not a malfunction, but it means the value of your account can decline.
7. Software and automation risk
Automated software can be affected by errors, bugs, downtime, latency, connectivity failures, and misconfiguration. We do not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will perform as intended under all market conditions. Automated trading can place, miss, or delay orders in ways that affect your results.
8. Exchange and third-party risk
Gridmatic depends on third parties, including your exchange (Kraken) and our payment processor. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Kraken. Outages, rate-limiting, API or fee changes, account freezes, slippage, and failed orders at the exchange are outside our control and can affect your results. You maintain your own account directly with the exchange.
9. Illustrative figures and results
Any calculators, charts, dashboards, example accounts, or figures shown on this site are illustrative unless we state otherwise. The 3–7% figure shown on this site is the historical average monthly cash flow from completed grid cycles on live Gridmatic accounts. It is not a forecast, projection, or guarantee of your results. The live Performance history on this site comes from the founder’s own Gridmatic account and counts closed trades only; open positions are not included. Example dashboards and bot activity shown on the site use representative figures and do not depict a specific live client account unless we state otherwise.
10. Eligibility and sanctions
The Services are for adults only. You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract, and you are responsible for ensuring your use of the Services is lawful where you live. You represent that you are not located in, and are not a national or resident of, any country or region subject to comprehensive sanctions, and that you are not on any sanctions or restricted-party list, including the US Treasury Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) Specially Designated Nationals list.
